COVID has left a major impact on all our lives. Many people had to completely change their lives, as many professions couldn’t be executed anymore, or not as much as they were used to. However, although we maybe don’t want to admit it, COVID has left some positive impacts on our lives too. In this blog, we’ll list three of them.
- Hygienic improvements
Not to say humanity lived without any hygiene, but it’s safe to say we improved massively over the past two years. Although the reason for it of course isn’t the nicest, COVID really brought our focus back on some basic hygienic steps that many people forgot to take. When COVID first hit the world, no one really knew what it was. However, one thing was known: washing hands and coughing in your elbow were two things that really helped to stop COVID from spreading. Nowadays, it’s almost weird to see someone not do any of these things. Also, COVID has helped people to realize the importance of hygiene, so when you see someone not using these basic hygienic restrictions, you’ll feel more at ease to say something about it. We think that when COVID isn’t as much of a thing anymore, these improvements will still be very relevant for everyone.
- Connecting
Although most people felt more alone than ever, COVID really helped us to connect to people we’d usually never connect with. The many restrictions created many problems for a lot of people, but humanity showed its greatness at these moments too. Many fundings were done, as well as many people went out of their way to help one another.
Now that COVID seems to slowly fade away, this connecting doesn’t stop. It seems like all the social situations we missed over the year, must be caught up with. If this hasn’t been the case for you yet, hit up your friends and ask them out for dinner. Although it might seem like nothing has happened over the COVID-years, there’s still a lot of catching up to do!

The internet has always been a great place for improvement. This showed a lot during COVID: all of the sudden, the online world was the online place to connect with people. Whether it was the massive use of chats like Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Slack, or online games such as Among Us, Fortnite or Skribbl, we managed to find each other, even when it was impossible to connect in real life. This online growth has created a lot of successful stories for many companies: think about all the web shops, or online casinos that have seen a massive increase of users and sales.
